Solutions Engineer

Before a customer signs, they need to see it work with their systems, their traffic, their edge cases. You're the person who makes that real — part engineer, part translator, building the proof and the plan that turns "interesting" into "let's go."

About the role

The bridge between the pitch and production.

You'll work alongside account executives to win and land enterprise customers — scoping their use case, designing the integration, building proofs of concept, and mapping the migration from whatever they use today.

This role lives in two worlds: you're comfortable in a customer's codebase writing example integrations against our APIs, and equally at ease in a room explaining trade-offs to their architects and stakeholders. After the deal, you hand off a clean plan to onboarding and stay close through the first launch. You'll anchor North American accounts from Phoenix and work with teams across all three offices.

What you'll do

  • Partner with sales on technical discovery — understand the customer's stack, volumes, channels, and constraints.
  • Design integrations across messaging, voice, email, verification, and AI agents, and build proofs of concept that show them working.
  • Write sample code and reference integrations against our APIs, and answer the hard technical questions.
  • Scope migrations from a customer's current provider, including deliverability, number porting, and cutover.
  • Be the technical voice in the room, and carry real product feedback back to engineering and product.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years in solutions/sales engineering, developer relations, or a hands-on engineering role facing customers.
  • You can write code — enough to build a convincing integration against a REST API (JavaScript, Python, or similar).
  • Clear communicator who can move between technical depth and business value without losing either.
  • Comfortable owning technical outcomes in a sales cycle and juggling several accounts.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to customers.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CPaaS, messaging, telephony, or email infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with conversational AI or automation products.
  • Background selling to finance, gaming, e-commerce, or education.
